Kharkiv Economic Development Project
This project supports the Kharkiv Partnership, a special program of the U.S. government to support the economic development of the Kharkiv Region of Ukraine. Funded by USAID, the project developed 16 economic sector profiles to be used by the region’s government and private sector for economic and business sector planning and development. They are also useful for potential investors who are interested in business opportunities in the Kharkiv area.

The project has also developed local economic development capacity and programs in a number of municipalities in the Kharkiv region. Through training and technical assistance, the project has helped establish economic development units in each municipality, initiated an economic development strategic planning process, and a program of extension services for private businesses in the municipality and its local region.
